"I cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples" - Mother Teresa

I am opening my March message with this quote from Mother Teresa.  I think it is extremely relevant for Women’s History Month.  I think of all the women in history who have paved the way for us with their sacrifices and courage and I can see them all casting stones across the water and all the ripples.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the book club survey.  We had a great response and appreciated all the book suggestions.

Why a Book Club?  Business owners are continual learners and what better way than to discuss business books with other like-minded people.

Dear NAWBO Philly – Happy 2019!  “New Year, New Connections” was the theme of our super networking event last week!  The Walnut Club, one of our Alliance Partners co-hosted with us.  We had terrific turnout and many new connections were made!  If you were not there, I am sorry you missed it.

Hello NAWBO Philadelphia.  This month I would like to bring your attention to NAWBO Philadelphia’s Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs (PCAE).    The Philadelphia NAWBO Chapter founded the PCAE in 2009 as its 501c3 charitable arm.  The PCAE has grown very strong in the past 9 years and has two fabulous, successful programs that you may be familiar with – the Young Entrepreneurs Academy and the Athena PowerLink program.

Impossible as it seems, it has been only 30 years since the passage of HR-5050, game changing legislation that paved the way for women business owners to be recognized as a force in commerce and to gain access to the tools required to build strong businesses.

Greetings NAWBO Philadelphia!   I want to get to know YOU and your business!  I was reflecting recently that the best possible way we can empower other women business owners is by knowing their STORIES!  There are so many of you whom I have not met.  I would like to make it my goal to meet every single NAWBO Philly member between NOW and our Annual Meeting in June 2019!  I encourage you to come out to our events
