In the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, the legal landscape for employers has changed.

  • Am I paying my employees correctly in a virtual world?
  • PPP forgiveness
  • The new home office, a dress shirt and bunny slippers? The new policies employers need for the new office environment.
  • What am I missing?  Other considerations for the virtual environment.

Meet the Presenter:

With over fifteen years of experience, Christina has developed a practice in educating businesses on the trends and pitfalls in today’s employment market, working with them to audit and analyze existing policies and procedures and then providing them with cost-effective solutions to ensure current and ongoing compliance.  In 2019, Christina launched her own firm to provide cost-effect employment law counseling and compliance to business of all sizes.

COVID-19 and the economic shutdown has impacted businesses in unprecedented ways. New federal and state laws and regulations seem to be issued daily; directing, guiding, instructing and demanding businesses do, act, and provide in certain ways. So, on top of THAT employee who keeps every business owner up at night, businesses struggle with COVID and are required to implement FFCRA, CARES, PPP, PPE and a whole alphabet soup of new requirements. Since the first days of the pandemic, Christina has worked with business owners on closing, layoffs, furloughs, severance, and now, reopening.

Christina speaks regularly on a variety of employment law topics, including COVID related issues.
