“In light of everything that is happening around us today, I have created a Diversity and Inclusion aspect to my programing to help eliminate the stress of the 800 pound elephant in the room that seems to appear whenever there is a mention of Diversity and Inclusion.  This will be a game changer.”

Lynette Phillips - SEKond to None

Lynette Phillips is a certified professional coach and human resources consultant.  She is the principal and owner of SEKond to None, a coaching and consulting firm that works with individuals who want to build their leadership skills and capabilities. “I help professionals increase their management and strategic skills so they become strong performers and are prepared for promotion and growth. I also work with companies that need assistance with development, training, coaching, human resources challenges, or creating plans for their professional staff,” says Lynette.

Lynette started her business in 2016 and is looking forward to celebrating the company’s first anniversary this December. Lynette says, “I would love to turn this into a family business someday!”

Lynette joined NAWBO soon after launching her business and has jumped right in, becoming actively involved in the Philadelphia chapter of NAWBO, co-chairing the Power Fridays for Bucks/Montgomery County.  Lynette highly values her membership in NAWBO. “I believe women have the power to accomplish anything and NAWBO offers me a venue to learn and contribute to other women.”

Lynette looks forward to meeting more NAWBO members so she can share her superpower – she listens to others and hears what people want and has an uncanny ability to finetune their goals and create a plan for them around their desired outcome.  She honed her skills years ago when volunteering at a women’s correctional facility. “It was the experience of working in large group sessions with incarcerated women – coaching them on life skills, hygiene, manners, and how to fit into society once they were released that got me thinking about how I could make a difference in people’s lives. Because of that experience, I became an HR (Human Resources) professional and worked as an HR for 20+ years.

Last year, I finally decided I wanted to spend the second half of my life focused on doing the aspects of my career I love the most. I LOVE doing something that I am great at! I also love that I can work nontraditional hours (early morning, late nights) and still get great results for my clients and being active in my family’s life as well.”

One thing you may not know about Lynette is that she makes jewelry and other accessories when she wants to relax. “I make a lot of the accessories I wear,” she reports proudly.

If you would like to contact Lynette, she can be reached at Lynette@SEKenterprises.com or (484) 904-5836.

Please do consider meeting Lynette at the next Power Friday meeting on October 20th at 9:00 am at the Days Inn Horsham.
